Programs
Great programming for children is offered year-round!
Some programs offered include...
-
Story Hour - Children and their grownups are welcome to join Miss Trish in the Children's Department for stories, songs, movement and a craft. The stories are typically geared toward children through age 7, but families are welcome.
-
Chess Ninjas - Whether you are new to chess or have been playing for some time, Chess Ninja Club is the place for you! Learn basics through more complex strategies as you play against other kids and the adult leaders. Our chess club is open to children in grades 3-7.
-
Read to the Dogs - Children 5 to 12 years old read a favorite story or chapter of a book to a very enthusiastic listener who happens to have four legs and a wagging tail.
-
Summer Reading Program - This years theme is Color Our World! The games and challenges for children, young adults, and adults will encourage all ages to read and experience the joy of learning with a focus on art, the world and creativity. We’ll employ a library-wide series of activities and color and world-themed décor. Connect with your community and join us for events and activities this summer!
