The Children's Department serves children from birth to age 12. We offer library cards at age 5, year round programming for all ages, Nutmeg Book Nominees, and much more.

Volunteer Opportunities
The Children's Department needs volunteers and helping hands from time to time, especially for the Christmas Ornament Workshop and during July and August. Volunteer opportunities are available for children 13 and over. Drop your name and phone number at the children's desk if you are interested.
